Wicket Appeal
The Wicket the Ewok Appeal aims to raise money for 'Peterborough's Special Care Baby Unit'.
The appeal's target is 39,000. The money will provide the Neo-Natal unit with one additional incubator, plus all the monitoring equipment necessary for the care of premature and sick infants.
The reason I have chosen Peterborough's Special Care Baby Unit as the beneficiary of funds raised by the appeal is a personal one. Both my daughter Annabelle and son Harrison were transferred into the unit at birth with respiratory difficulties. They were cared for by the wonderful doctors and nurses there for many months. It is down to their skill, dedication and professionalism that Annabelle and Harrison are both healthy young people leading full, active lives. For this, I will be eternally grateful.
