Have a wizard Christmas with 'Harry Potter' star in Panto

12th December 2001

As Pottermania sweeps the country, Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is delighted to announce that one of the stars of what is arguably the biggest film of all time, is appearing in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the theatre from 14 December - 6 January.

Warwick Davis, who will play Prof, the leader of the dwarfs in Snow White, plays Professor Flitwick, the diminutive charms teacher, in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The kindly Professor Flitwick is so tiny he has to stand on a pile of books on top of a desk to teach the young witches and wizards at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Warwick, who has a wealth of film and theatre experience (other credits include Willow and Star Wars) joins a star-studded cast including Kate O'Mara and Gorden Kaye in the Yvonne Arnaud's Christmas spectacular - a fun-filled traditional pantomime, complete with comedy, romance, song, dance and the all-important booing and hissing!

Warwick can also be seen flicking the switch for Guildford's Christmas lights at 7pm on 22nd November in Guildford High Street, when he will be accompanied by the other six dwarfs, and Snow White herself.
